It is widely believed that Reiki is a healing ray and is of the Earth element. All healing comes from a divine source or God in whatever form you wish to perceive Him/Her. A "healer" is merely a person who channels healing energy primarily through the use of their hands. Hands contain chakras, out of which the Reiki energy flows once a student has been attuned. Some people naturally channel healing energy, but an attunement can stabilize their flow of energy, making it more accessible. A Reiki Master Teacher is someone who is trained and permitted to teach healing and pass on the Reiki initiations (attunements) to others.

We are a living, breathing mass of energy so it only makes sense that through the use of energy we can facilitate healing. A Healer usually "feels" areas of "mis-qualified" energy surrounding the client and removes it by either "draining" the energy off or "releasing" it to be transmuted. The Healer then replaces the old energy with new, healing energy that is of a higher vibration. This energy is actually transmitted through the hands of the Healer and directed into the energy field (aura) of the client in any number of ways depending on what is required.

I can plainly feel the energy coming through my hands and to most of my clients, it feels like tiny sparks while to others it feels like a tingling sensation. The energy is either hot or cold, depending on what energy is needed at the time of the session and sometimes I feel the energy arcs up my hands and arms.

Anyone can learn to channel Reiki and facilitate healing; it requires no special talents or education. After each level of attunement, students can feel Reiki energy flow through their hands, and this flow of energy increases in strength with each level of attunement.

During a Reiki class you learn how to set up sacred space for healing, how healing occurs, about the chakra system, Reiki symbols in the level of Reiki you are learning, and you will have the opportunity to practice healing. I will always be available to answer your questions and help you move forward on your chosen path as a Healer.
